By coordinating and integrating a wide range of air traffic services, we ensure that every flight — from take-off to landing — operates in a safe and efficient environment.

ATM covers all key areas of Air Traffic Services, including:

Flight Information Services – providing pilots with essential updates on weather, aerodrome conditions, and navigational information to support safe decision-making.
Alerting Services – ensuring timely assistance for aircraft in distress and coordination with search and rescue organizations when required.
Aerodrome Tower Services – managing take-offs, landings, and ground movements at airports to maintain safety and reduce congestion.
Approach Control Services – guiding aircraft during critical approach and departure phases to ensure smooth and conflict-free operations.

Core Responsibilities

Airspace & Flow Management

Beyond direct air traffic services, the Directorate plays a critical role in airspace management and air traffic flow management. We design, allocate, and monitor the use of airspace to maximize capacity while maintaining safety standards. Through flow management, we balance demand and capacity, reducing delays and enhancing the predictability of flight operations.

Safety & Efficiency

At the core of our responsibilities is the separation of aircraft — maintaining safe distances between flights in all phases of operation. By doing so, we minimize the risk of incidents and ensure orderly airspace use. Alongside safety, we focus on efficiency, reducing unnecessary delays, optimizing routes, and supporting sustainable aviation practices.
