Enhanced Enroute Surveillance

ANSP has successfully commissioned a state-of-the-art radar system, reinforcing surveillance capabilities and flight safety across the upper FIR.

1 Juli 2025

In a significant step toward modernizing our national airspace infrastructure, the ANSP has commissioned a new long-range radar installation in the northeastern region. The radar enhances enroute surveillance coverage, enabling more efficient traffic separation and situational awareness for air traffic controllers.

The radar is integrated into the existing surveillance network, ensuring full compliance with ICAO Annex 11 and enhancing the resilience of surveillance services. “This system allows us to better accommodate increasing traffic volumes while maintaining the highest levels of safety,” said the Director of CNS Services. The project is part of the broader CNS modernization roadmap for 2025–2030.
