New agreement improves integration of MET information into air traffic decision-making processes.
7 Juli 2025
In a move to strengthen collaborative decision-making (CDM), we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the national meteorological authority to enhance MET data exchange. The agreement facilitates real-time sharing of weather data directly into the ATM system, improving trajectory prediction and airspace efficiency.
Under the MoU, both entities will coordinate the development of tailored MET products, including turbulence alerts and convective weather forecasts, directly accessible by tower and enroute controllers. The partnership aligns with ICAO Annex 3 objectives and supports SWIM-based system integration under the regional modernization programme.
